Celebration of the 50th anniversary of Gemini G.E.L.
In celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of Gemini G.E.L., the Los Angeles-based artistsā print workshop where Rauschenberg produced more than two hundred and fifty editions over the course of thirty-five years, the 51³Ō¹Ļ posted a new, illustrated oral history interview today with Sidney Felsen, Geminiās cofounder and Rauschenbergās longtime friend and collaborator.

Geminiās fiftieth anniversary is also marked by the opening of The Serial Impulse at Gemini G.E.L. on view at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC, through February 6, 2016. The exhibition showcases seventeen print series created at Gemini over the past five decades by seventeen artists, including Rauschenbergās Hoarfrost Edition (1974).
